The first big snow this winter was during Thanksgiving...about 4 inches. Rowan loves to play in the snow (thank goodness!) and he LOVES to throw snowballs at us! Some pics of Rowan playing outside in the snow...

Mimi visits South Dakota - November 2010
My mom got to visit us in South Dakota for Rapid City! We were so excited that she was able to be here. We were really excited that she made it before the snow did! :) As you can see, we are starting a Mt. Rushmore picture collection. I joke that we should start a photo album of just Mt. Rushmore pictures with all the people that visit! It was pretty cold while she was here with a record low of -6 degrees the day before Thanksgiving! She was a trooper though. :)
Reptile Gardens - November 2010
Amy and I took the kids to Reptile Gardens while they were visiting. The kids had a good time getting up close and personal with the reptiles...especially Rowan. Rowan discovered the King Cobra which, for some reason, had a thing for Rowan...and not in a good way! It kept attacking him through the glass.
Canyon Lake Park with the Barrazas - November 2010
Fortunately, we had some really nice weather while Mike, Amy and the kids were visiting. Amy and I took the kids to the park for a little while one day - a great place to snap some pics! Then we picked up pizza (and wine for the mommies!) and celebrated Amy's birthday. :)
Dinosaur Park - November 2010
There is a place in Rapid City called Dinosaur Park. It sits way up on a hill. When you are driving through town, you can see this dinosaur looking down onto the town from up on the hill. Amy and I took the kids there when they were in town visiting.
Luis and the Barrazas visit South Dakota
Our friends, Mike and Amy, were on a road trip to Tennessee and decided that, while they were "nowhere near our neighborhood", they would come up for a visit! Then, our friend, Luis, decided it would be a good time for a visit too! We had lots of fun and got to be tour guides for a while. We visited Deadwood and Custer State Park along with some of the local attractions for the kids.
