Opening Weekend of Pheasant Season at the Farm - October 2010
Every year, Dave and his family and some friends get together at the Fredrickson farm for opening weekend of pheasant hunting season. It is a huge - and fun - family tradition. Everyone visits and hunts together, shares a big meal and some drinks. The kids run around the farm together, play outside, greet the hunters when they come back for the evening. Fun is definitely had by all! :) Dave's grandparents, the Fredricksons, lived on this farm, and Dave grew up playing and roaming around here.

Tatum and Parker at 14 months
Just some random pics of the girls at 14 months. They were starting to stand on their own and take some steps. They are just growing too fast!
Bear Country USA - September 2010
We took the kids to Bear Country this fall....it is a drive through wildlife park where you can get close to and see bears, deer, elk, mountain lions, reindeer, wolves, etc. etc. We had a good time watching some of the local wildlife. The park is not far from our house, so Rowan definitely wanted to make sure the animals were contained and could not escape! :)

October....Really??
I can't believe I am still trying to catch up on posting pics from October! Those of you that know me well can believe it pretty easily. :) Yes, we are still here. I do still want to post some pics of things we have done in between October and now (almost Christmas! Yikes!). I am really far behind because we have been doing so many fun things! We have been so busy since Halloween between visits from friends and family, preparation for the holidays, work, school, etc. etc. I will get caught up here and then I promise (New Year's resolution??) to try to stay caught up from the start of the new year! Stay tuned...

My Mountain Man
I have to say Dave is certainly back in his element....and very happy to be! He drew an antelope tag this season, so he and his friend, Darin, went hunting for antelope. And so, Dave got his goat! He had the meat made into some great antelope/beef sticks...I was pleasantly surprised at how good they were!
Fall in the Black Hills
We went for a drive through Spearfish Canyon northwest of Rapid City to see the leaves at the peak of the fall season as they were changing colors. Beautiful!!! Fall is quickly becoming my favorite time of year! The brisk air, the evergreens, the gold aspen trees, the cool nights and beautiful days...
